Appeal for a transformative economy – we are joining in!

The non-profit foundation “Stiftung KlimaWirtschaft”, a German CEO Alliance for Climate and Economy, and leading companies from Germany have issued a compelling appeal to policymakers for more support in transitioning to sustainable business practices. The appeal emphasises the urgent need for a transformation towards climate neutrality and calls for clear measures to ensure Germany's economic competitiveness.

Titled “Die Transformation als Jahrhundertprojekt” ("The Transformation as the Project of the Century”), the appeal underscores the indispensable link between ecological sustainability and economic success - precisely the mission of phiyond by adelphi. As part of this initiative, we advocate for future-proof and responsible business practices. phiyond’s mission is to support the economy in addressing the challenges of the socio-ecological transformation and to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Through collaborative efforts and the development of new approaches, phiyond contributes to shaping a successful transition to climate neutrality.

The signatories emphasise that achieving climate neutrality is not only a moral obligation but also a clear economic opportunity. They view climate neutrality as a crucial factor for Germany's long-term competitiveness as an economic hub.

The appeal also addresses the threat posed by far-right forces, which endanger not only democracy but also Germany's economic performance. It is therefore crucial for all democratic forces to collaborate in advancing the transition to climate neutrality and securing Germany's position.

Another key aspect of the appeal is the call for close cooperation between politics and business. Companies urge the federal government and the democratic opposition to convene a transformation commission and develop an economic policy framework that sets the stage for entrepreneurship in a climate-neutral Germany.
