Benefit from our extensive and in-depth experience in industry, country, and raw material analyses.

Risk analyses form the foundation for complying with human rights and environmental protection laws, particularly under the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and the European Supply Chain Directive (CSDDD). We assist companies in understanding and assessing risks and tailor solutions to their specific needs. Our focus is on detailed analyses, supported by software, and customised for specific product groups, countries, or raw materials.

How Do We Approach a Risk Analysis?

We conduct tailored risk analyses using a comprehensive mix of methods.

Creating Transparency

We establish an overview of the supply chain structure based on company data and our own research.

Analysing Risk

In line with regulatory requirements, we recommend starting with an abstract risk analysis. We employ a two-stage process based on a mix of methods. Initially, we provide an overview of human rights and environmental impacts in the upstream supply chain of specific product groups. This reveals the structure of the supply chain and allows for the identification and analysis of key risks related to human rights and the environment. For selected raw materials, we perform a deeper analysis that addresses country-specific risks and risks associated with the extraction and processing of these materials. This approach helps clients contextualise risks along the value chain and identify their own areas of influence.

Prioritising Risks

For the subsequent risk prioritisation, we also use a two-stage process:

Based on the abstract risk analysis, suppliers that are exposed to higher risks and have a greater spend volume with the purchasing company are prioritised.

In the second stage, the results are reviewed and validated in a workshop with the company's responsible parties, allowing for the development of specific supplier engagement measures.

Global value chains are often associated with a multitude of human rights and environmental risks. Identifying and addressing these risks within one's own processes is part of responsible corporate governance and holistic risk management.
